The Playwriting Podcast, hosted by Ken Wolf, Artistic Director of Manhattan Repertory Theatre, will offer strategies and techniques for playwrights (and writers in general) "to get out of their heads" and write better, feel more motivated, get into that CREATIVITY ZONE, find more productive ways to complete a work, and to simply have more fun creating! Each episode we will explore what works and what doesn't work, so that you can jump start your playwriting and take your work to the next level.

What is the "Creativity Zone" and how can we get there more often?

 

1. Find a story idea that you are Passionate about.  (See episode #1)

2. Write. Write. Write.  Then Sleep or take a break.  Then Edit.

3. Limit Distractions. 

4. Exercise, then Write!

5. Give yourself an Emotional Deadline.

6. Use Music.
